Founded in early 1988, Burgess Group, Inc. is an industry leader engaged in all phases of the construction process from design and commissioning of building systems to construction management and construction claim/defect resolution.  Our staff expertise is based upon decades of experience in the construction industry, ranging from basic installation tasks to project management, time, cost and quality control of large multi-million dollar projects and companies.  We are small enough to devote attention to simple problems but have the resources to deal with very large and complex projects. 

Our role on projects is be able to create solutions that avoid unnecessary cost to our client in terms of both time and money.  We work through and troubleshoot the design and installation of the project systems before potential problems have a chance to threaten project and business results for our clients.  Our core philosophy of “making the complex simple” is embedded in our everyday corporate life. We will apply that philosophy in the preparation of the review documents. 

We are licensed mechanical engineers in five states and are experienced in construction management.  This experienced licensure qualifies and enables us to view projects from both the construction industry’s   perspective as well as the technical and theoretical positions. 

From our unique vantage point as engineers and contractors, we have taken special note over two decades, of how projects run into trouble:  Why complex projects tend to become difficult for everyone involved; why projects frequently go over budget, run late or result in poor quality construction.

Our experience gives our client three distinct advantages when we are on site:

        1. It’s the real world.  We view problems with a high-quality end product in mind and a “how can  we make it work” perspective that is so common to a successful “can-do” attitude present at the construction site.
