Michael is a licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Washington. He received his B.S.M.E. degree from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo. Michael began the professional side of his mechanical contracting career in 1985. He has managed projects for major U.S. mechanical contracting firms in Indiana, Arizona and California. Since he joined Burgess Group in 1993 as a Senior Consultant has been the engineer-of record on numerous residential, commercial and municipal projects.  He has also been certified as a LEED Accredited Professional by the US Green Building Council.  He has been the commissioning agent on several LEED green building projects.  With regard to forensic engineering, he has been designated as an expert witness on both defense and plaintiff cases.
